Dot peen marking on rounded surface with portable gun

Customer's need

The client required to mark multiple text lines on risers. Risers are tubular steel parts for supplying oil to the drilling platforms. The marking must be visible after blasting and 2-3 coats of paint (200 microns). The customer previously marked with hand stamps (alphanumeric). The issue was to reduce marking time while improving quality for better readability after treatment.

Advantages/ Summary

e8p62 gun is equipped with a controller e8 and a booster for a deeper and durable mark. The front end (designed according to the shape of the part to be marked) is equipped with a magnetic clamping (two  powerful magnetic bars).

Solution

The mark is done on the raw part. The result is a quality deep marking with readability possible after treatment and painting.
