SIC Marking's L-Box Laser Marking System was engineered with the energetic bustle of industrial environments in mind. It is equipped with a high powered, pulsed wave ytterbium-doped fiber laser that is easy to operate, even for users with minimal training in laser technology.

Its robust and 100% solid steel construction are a clever contrast to its compact and eye-catchingly sleek design. The retractable cover is a solid steel construction that opens on all three sides, and its handle has been ergonomically designed to maximize user comfort and minimize fatigue. Its Class 1 rated security features an integrated safety loop that automatically terminates the laser when the door is opened.

The marking window is a full 100 mm x 100 mm (3.9" x 3.9"), with an option for 170 mm x 170 mm, and will mark components with heights of up to 235 mm (9.3"), and lengths of up to 450 mm (17.7"). SIC Marking's L-BOX is a durable, long-lasting benchtop marking machine with an extended component life expectancy of up to 100,000 operating hours.

The L-Box marking equipment operates on a PC-based mode, using SIC Marking's proprietary software interface, SIC Laser Advanced. Creating and editing files, and managing desired settings can be done from any PC (e.g. optimize the cycle time, improve contrast/colors, and change the main speed, frequency, and power).

Options

Premium plate holder

Attaches to marking system base. Holds plate sizes up to 100x300 mm (4" x 12")

Benefits:

  •  Quick and easy clamping
  •  Provides constant, repeatable marks
  •  Frees up operator during marking operation
  •  Quick release for rapid change of part to mark

Button box

Box with on / off buttons. Remote system start/stop. 2.5 m connection cable to controller.

Benefits:

  • Can start marking cycles manually.
  • Easy plugging

D Rotary Axis

This option, available on any 9 range device or column, allows to mark the circumference of a cylindrical part. It takes into account parts up to 3 kg and with a diameter up to 250 mm. The control software is included.

Benefits:

  • 80 mm drill chuck
  • Cable between the axis D and the marking controller
  • Bits set for clamping parts on the inside: maximum bore of the part 116 mm tight
  • Bits set for clamping parts on the outside: 125 mm maximum diameter clamping
  • Axis management by electronic marking.

Fume extractor

Vacuum apparatus to extract fumes & small particles produced by laser marking applications. Delivered complete with a pre-filter, a submicron particle high efficiency filter & a carbon filter. Device dimensions: 365x501x740mm.

Benefits:

  • Respect of environmental standards
  • Compliance with workplace legislation
  • Prevents fouling of the marking lens

Automatic Z axis, 50-250 mm stroke (for column-mounted)

The digital Z axis allows the marking head to access difficult areas or mark on several levels in one cycle. Available in various sizes.

  • 50-250 mm Z axis for column-mounted product range

Equipment needed.
Third axis board integrated into the e10 controller. Powers and controls the digital Z axis.
Interchangeable axis.
Used on all SIC Marking dot peen & light-duty scribing systems with minimal adaptation.

Caracteristics

  •  Sturdy design based on stepper motors and lead screw
  •  Makes use of two industrial grade guiding rails
  •  Dedicated adapter plate to fit all marking heads
  •  Driven by third axis board integrated to the e10 controller
  •  Only one connection required: to e10 controller
  •  Advance speed: 50mm/s (2"/s)

Benefits:

  • Part markings on different levels in same operation
  • Can avoid obstacles in the marking area
  • Allows displacement marking head for part removal
  • Compact and easy to integrate, reducing integration costs
  • Movement is controlled through e10 marking file, which avoids requirement for an external controller
