Scribing VIN marking system

Customer's need

The customer required  a VIN mark located in the right front seat of a vehicle. The VIN Marking was a 17 digit alphanumeric text (5x17, OCRA) The design of the chassis and the production line configuration cannot allow to install a opposite support necessary for the proper positioning of the marking system.

Advantages/ Summary

The solution provided by SIC Marking is a VIN marking machine equipped with a scratch carbide stylus. Marking depth is 0.3 mm. SIC Marking has developed a custom side clamping solution (because absence of opposite support) useful for the marking action.
